Exam Result is OUT!!! A bit of heartache but I shall be grateful for what I’ve gotten…
Exam ended on the 16/11 for me and 3 days later, I was already on the plane flying off to Gold Coast for my long awaited holiday with Wai Chien.. It was a great 5days 5nite holiday for me… Not so great on the 1st nite actually because I spend the 1st nite on a full loaded Air Asia flight... Anyone who has taken Air Asia should know “comfortable” is their seat. The 8hour flight was quite a pain as I wasn’t able to sleep throughout the flight...
Upon Arrival, I was so glad that the rain in Malaysia did not follow me to Gold Coast… I remember when I went to Melbourne and Sydney in July, I was said to have brought rain with me!! … hahaha… I had to wait for about 2hours in the airport to welcome Wai Chien at the domestic arrival hall… It was definitely worth the wait because her arrival in Gold Coast marks the beginning of a happy holiday…
We traveled all around Gold Coast to places we want to visit using their public transport – Surfside Bus, Gold Coast map and our Very own bus no 11 (our very own legs). Most the time we have to walk back and forth between our apartment in Chevron Island and Surfers Paradise. There are only 2 buses that will pass through Chevron Island but the last buses on weekdays are at 6something and worst on weekends the last bus is at 4something. Not to worry also as it is just a short 15mins walk from Surfers Paradise. But walking in with 3 trolley bags but only two person wasn’t at all fun. The place we stay was very decent and clean… It was cozy and comfortable… Peace and quiet all the time brought out a very relaxing feel for a true holiday…
Yes we walk to our apartment with all this.. Not fun at all
The bus timetable that tells us " u need more exercise.. WALK"
We had very fulfilling breakfast and dinner throughout the entire trip. None of the meals had let us down in any ways… Two thumbs up for all the meals… We had Western Breakfast, Korean food for dinner, Mediterranean food for dinner, Japanese food for dinner and western Food for dinner… Each and every restaurant has brought out its very own uniqueness and specialty.. If u have heard of Dracula’s, I had dinner there too.. It was quite costly but it was a great experience and the show were really good though here and there I was lost because they were using Aussie jokes in which I have no clue about.. I admit I jerk in shock a few times cos the crew jst suddenly appear next to me and scare me.. Wai Chien laugh everytime I jump from my seat because she was sitting inside and I was sitting at the side so I was getting all the extra icing for the fantastic nite.. Upon entering their entrance, we had to hop onto the ghost train for a 40seconds ride which will lead us to the dining hall. It wasn’t too scary but the props and the atmosphere has surely got into me..
Close ur eye when u r scared
The best meal I had was the belated birthday treat from Wai Chien. The dinner did not come in surprise but the place and the present I receive from her was the big surprise. We went to this Ten Japanese Restaurant that apparently won the Best Fine Dining Award. Their entrance into the restaurant was one of the main highlight. I dunno how to describe their door but it is like those entrance you see in those olden Chinese show. When the door opens and u enter the secret room… Seriously it was how I felt when I saw that door… and it looks like it is close from the outside and when u walk toward is, it suddenly will open.. It was definitely scary to us but more interesting things happen throughout the nite but I shall keep the rest for myself before I get killed.. hahaha… The Food was really good and filling and the presentation of the food was really special and creative but it was such pressure eating with eye over on us the entire nite.. By the time we left the restaurant, we were bloated with their 10 course Japanese meal. Adding on to the high class restaurant, the toilet was even better. It was so high tech that for awhile I did not know how to operate it.. I got a very sweet birthday present. Something that I want to get but still in the waiting list as $$$ doesn’t allow... Wai Chien got me a gift from Swarovski Crystal… I shall repeat myself… A GIFT FROM SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL... I have always eyed their crystals…. Thank You so much for the thoughtful dinner and the birthday gift... That was definitely a nite to remember..
Not to forget also we went to 3 themeparks - Wet and Wild, Movie World and Sea World which roasted me like a roasted pig… When I said roasted I really mean roasted… I enjoyed Movie world a lot… It’s like turning back time to where I was once young and innocent without any worries… All I need to do was being amused and attracted to each and every show and attraction inside… The highlight for Sea World was the Dolphin show… I was so Into the show and even if fire was burning right beside me, I wouldn’t notice because I was too indulge in looking at the Dolphin show… the Sea Lion show was good too..
I had a wonderful time in Gold Coast… The weather was hot but I am happy because the weather allowed us to accomplish all to do task in the itinerary that we planned for the trip. Many many many hugs and kisses to Wai Chien for planning the entire trip… Researching on where to eat for each meal and places that we must go in Gold Coast while making sure we are on budget cos she knows I am tied up with very little money to spend.. Without all this planning, the trip wouldn’t have turn out so smooth.. Thank you for making this trip such a memorable and happy Holiday…
